Our commitment to a greener future – partnering with Ecologi

Continuing our commitment to being a paperless business, we are excited to announce our latest initiative and share that we have partnered with Ecologi.

In previous years, we have sent traditional cards to our employees and clients for various occasions. Moving forward, we will be sending digital cards and planting a tree with Ecologi each time.

Who is Ecologi?

Ecologi is an environmental organisation that collaborates on carbon offset projects with a focus on tree planting. Their mission is clear – to cut 50% of global CO2 emissions by 2040 and responsibly plant billions of trees each year.

Where are the trees planted?

Ecologi’s trees span the globe, from Madagascar to the UK, supporting reforestation projects in areas that need it most. These trees are planted and chosen to ecologically fit the area, with a large focus on mangrove trees, as these are known for their exceptional carbon absorption rate.

How much carbon does each tree sequester?

While every tree varies in how much CO2 it absorbs, studies have shown that a hectare of mangroves can sequester around 308 kg of CO2 over a 25-year lifespan.

How many trees have we planted at Pragmatiq?

At Pragmatiq, we will now be planting a tree for every card we would have sent previously, such as birthday cards, Christmas cards, and more. It is a small yet impactful gesture, which we hope will help us contribute to a greener future.
