Our Charity of the Year 2024 is Ride High!

We’re proud to announce that Ride High are our Charity of the Year for 2024 and we will be fundraising throughout the year to help raise awareness and funds for the organisation.

Since Pragmatiq was established in 2017, supporting local charities has always been extremely important and we wanted to take it a step further, with a dedicated Charity of the Year as a new initiative for 2024. This enables us to work closely with a charity for the duration of the year, focusing on fundraising activities, raising awareness and supporting through our employee volunteering days.

Ride High was chosen following an extensive selection process and company-wide vote, ensuring the whole team had a say in the charity we support.

About Ride High

• Based just 10 minutes from the Pragmatiq office in the heart of Milton Keynes, Ride High is a charity focused on providing opportunities for disadvantaged and vulnerable children (aged 8-17)
• Ride High uses horses as a vehicle to transform the lives of these children. Horses enable us to connect with children in a way other more traditional interventions such as counselling fail. Many of them won’t speak but they’ll put their arms around a horse and whisper in its ear – and that’s where the transformation starts
• Children are referred to Ride High by schools, social workers, and other services, with 83% facing mental health challenges
• Over 120 children each week are being supported by Ride High
• Ride High also supports them not just through their engagement with the horses, but also with the activities run in the Club Room afterwards – all designed to help build their confidence and resilience to face life in a better mental state, whilst also addressing some basic social and educational needs
