Microsoft Power Automate offers your business a powerful solution to streamline workflows across various applications and services. However, with several Power Automate licensing options available, understanding the best choice for your business can be complex.

In this blog, we’ll break down the different Power Automate licenses, their features, pricing, and ideal use cases – helping you make an informed decision.

What is Power Automate Licensing?

Power Automate licensing refers to the different subscription plans that Microsoft offers for businesses looking to automate processes using Power Automate. The pricing and capabilities of each plan vary, allowing organisations to choose a license that best aligns with their needs, whether that’s for individual users, high-volume processes, or attended/unattended RPA (robotic process automation).

Selecting the right plan is essential to ensuring you’re maximising the value of Power Automate while controlling costs.

Choosing the Right Power Automate Plan for Your Business

Selecting the most appropriate Power Automate license depends on your business’s automation needs. Here are some key factors to consider:

  • Assess Your Automation Needs: Identify the type of workflows you need to automate (e.g., approvals, customer onboarding, invoice processing) and the complexity of these processes. Understanding the potential benefits of Power Automate can also help you determine which plan aligns with your business goals.
  • Compare Pricing and Features: Evaluate each plan’s capabilities and cost to determine which provides the best value based on your automation goals.
  • Plan for Scalability: If you anticipate growing your automation efforts in the future, choose a plan that offers flexibility and scalability.
  • Consult with a Power Automate Partner: Navigating licensing can be complex, and selecting the wrong plan could lead to unnecessary costs. Partnering with a certified Power Automate partner, like Pragmatiq, ensures that you make the right choice for your business.
